One Episode, a Week of Content: The Repurposing Workflow for Agencies

By Herman Demsong··2 min read·0 views

"Repurpose the episode" is easy to say and slow to do — especially across a roster of clients who each want it to sound like them. Here's a workflow that turns one episode into a full week of content without turning your team into a rewrite factory.

Step 1 — Get the transcript in, however it arrives

Standardize on a single intake: paste the transcript, upload the audio, or pull it from the show's feed. The goal is that no episode is a special case.

Step 2 — Pull the moments worth publishing

Before writing anything, identify the handful of quotable lines, insights, and clip-worthy moments. Everything downstream is built from these, so this is where the value of the episode is decided.

Step 3 — Draft every format at once

From those moments, produce the whole set in one pass rather than platform-by-platform:

  • An X/Twitter thread
  • A LinkedIn post
  • An Instagram caption
  • A short-form video script
  • Show notes with timestamps
  • A blog post
  • A newsletter issue

Doing them together keeps the message consistent and saves the context-switching that eats your day.

Step 4 — The voice checkpoint

This is the step that separates a real workflow from "we used AI." Before anything ships, it has to sound like this client — their vocabulary, their rhythm, their rules ("no hashtags on LinkedIn," "never say game-changer"). If your tooling learns each show's voice from past approvals, this checkpoint is a glance. If it doesn't, this is where your afternoon goes.

Step 5 — Approve, don't rewrite

Approving should be the default action, not the exception. Every approval is also a signal that trains the voice for next time, so the workflow gets faster the more you run it.

Step 6 — Schedule and move on

Queue the week's posts, hand the client their branded deliverables, and start the next show.

Why the order matters

Most teams write platform-by-platform and voice-check last, which is why repurposing feels endless. Moments first, all formats together, voice as a gate, approval as the norm — that's the sequence that makes one episode reliably become a week of content.
